Homemade Spaghetti

It all started with some dough. For which my friend, Jordi, continues to convince me, is easy to make. I don't doubt her...I just don't know I would take the time to do it!
Then it moves into the flattening stage. You need some little hands to help you with that part.
They put the dough into the pasta roller. This part is the part that makes it very thin. Not too thin though.
After putting it through a few times it is time to switch to the spaghetti part of the pasta roller. When the kids put it through this part, viola! Spaghetti!
The kids all loved helping to make this pasta. I loved watching them make it and loved seeing them eat what they made!
It was delicious.
I would do it again in a minute.
Thanks for taking the time to give our kids this experience, Jords. Love it!

  1. Nice to read you again, Mommy K! What delightful pictures of young pasta makers! That must have made the spaghetti taste even yummier to them!

  2. I used to have a pasta making machine, but I have no idea what happened to it after I moved out of NY. Alas, I DO have a Kitchen Aid. Perhaps it's time for me to buy the pasta attachment. Your pasta looks like it brought lots of smiles and fun!

  3. The other day when I read about your "homemade spaghetti" I wondered if it was homemade noodles or homemade sauce -- guess I have my answer! :)

Like Stacey, maybe I need to look into the pasta attachment. It looks delicious!
